The proposals we just reviewed aim to ensure our future labor needs are met through legal, orderly pathways. However, creating a functional system for tomorrow does not solve the reality of today. Even with an impenetrable fence and effective gates, we must still address the millions of undocumented individuals currently living and working within our borders. We now turn to that critical challenge.
