CommonSense American Condemns the Assassination of Charlie Kirk
Along with millions of other Americans, CommonSense American condemns the killing of political activist Charlie Kirk. We urge everyone—left, right, and center—to raise their voice in condemning this and all other political violence to make it clear that those of us who oppose political violence vastly outnumber those who commit or condone it. If you are one of the millions of Americans who agree that political violence is never the answer, record a video sharing your views at this link.
In the aftermath of this terrible attack, CSA Executive Director Keith Allred has spoken with several media outlets about the shooting of Charlie Kirk, the rising tide of targeted political violence in our country, and the challenges our nation continues to face in seeking to engage our differences more constructively. You can watch clips of his recent conversations with Arizona PBS and Arizona Public Radio, where he shares more insights and analysis.
Help Choose Our 2025 Issue
With Congress passing Workforce Pell as part of its reconciliation package, our attention now turns exclusively to picking our next issue for 2025. The 2025 Rate-The-Issues (RTI) survey is open, focusing on the most compelling opportunities for bipartisan cooperation drawn from extensive conversations with congressional offices from both parties. The issues in this survey focus on policy proposals that leaders trust will receive support from across the aisle.
We are actively meeting with congressional offices to share our members’ views and help select an issue with strong bipartisan support to work on this year. Our past track record and the additional promise of working with these groups make it clear that weighing in as a CommonSense American is a more powerful way than ever to make a real difference. Your opinions can inform influential bipartisan legislation in 2025. Weigh in and Rate The Issues today!
