Reflecting on 2025
Happy Holidays! As we come to the close of the year, we reflect with profound gratitude on what an extraordinary year 2025 has been for CommonSense American. In a time when some Americans may have felt discouraged, your commitment, energy, and belief in what’s possible have given us countless reasons to feel hope.
Together, we achieved milestones that once felt ambitious and are now a reality. Workforce Pell was signed into law, making us four-for-four in Congress. Thanks to the dedication of our incredible State Ambassadors, we briefed more than 320 congressional offices, which is six times our previous average. Never before has Congress been able to hear so clearly the voices of everyday Americans championing a bipartisan solution.
Help Select Our 2025 Issue
As we continue refining our Common Sense American research focus, your input remains invaluable. We welcome your perspectives on potential topics to help us identify the issue that will most effectively serve our members. The 2025 Rate-The-Issues (RTI) survey is now live, spotlighting the most promising opportunities for bipartisan collaboration, shaped by in-depth conversations with congressional offices from both sides of the aisle. Each issue in the survey reflects policy proposals that leaders believe can earn broad, cross-party support.
We are actively engaging with congressional offices to share our members’ views and select a priority issue with strong bipartisan momentum for this year’s work. Our proven track record, and the growing interest from these offices makes it clearer than ever that participating as a Common Sense American is one of the most impactful ways to shape real legislative progress.
