Our Immigration Policy Brief Is Ready
We are excited to announce that after many months of hard work, the subject of our next policy brief topic is immigration! After helping pass bipartisan legislation with our last four briefs, we hope to find lasting solutions to one of the most polarized and gridlocked topics in American politics today.
We’re tackling this topic in collaboration with Congress’s bipartisan Commonsense Coalition. Over the past decade, this group has been behind nearly every major bipartisan legislative success achieved with support from both parties. The Republican and Democratic lawmakers we’re working with, along with many other members of Congress, are eager to hear your perspective.
This brief examines some of the most significant immigration proposals currently under consideration, such as border security, legal immigration pathways, rotational labor programs, and asylum reform. Just like past CommonSense American briefs, it presents the most popular proposals from both sides of the aisle and provides data and evidence so that Americans can understand the policy choices facing their country.
