Deport

The second option is the current legislative and administrative policy to deport everyone without legal status whether they arrived as children or adults.

The Case For

Supporters of deporting all undocumented individuals largely make the same arguments as immigration skeptics who oppose any version of the Dignity Act, even stricter ones.

The Case Against

Opponents of deporting those without status include those who oppose the Dignity Act because they think it is too lax. These opponents believe that those who would qualify under a more restrictive process and/or who would obtain more limited legal status should not be deported. Other opponents include those who support the Dignity Act. They oppose deportation for the same reasons they support granting those who would qualify for legal status under its provisions.
